Please explain to me why it is perfectly acceptable for a child protection services worker to "make-up" or exaggerate the facts or evidence in a case just to rip families apart. If there is not enough evidence to warrant further investigation or out right removal - who are they to decide that it is better to fabricate evidence. In essence they are being protected from wrongfully removing or trying to remove someone's children - according to your above article you are saying that no one seems to think that there is anything wrong with them falsely tearing people's families apart - because they think they're doing the right thing? What about the damage that is done to innocent people and their children. How can any of that be in the best interest of any child? Taking them away from their parents, grandparents, etc. just because they can. Even if it is proven in a courtroom that the charges are bogus, ultimately the damage is done and there is no amount of apologies that can fix it. Those people, even if cleared and the kids given back, are never looked at the same in their communities, their every move is under a microscope. How can any court or agency think that it is acceptable to provide these people immunity allowing them to effectively make the facts/evidence fit the story they want it to. In any other profession a worker is held accountable for their behavior and actions - but a child protection worker has the power to play God and they get to decide if you are fit to raise your kids or not? I thought this was America - not some 3rd world dictatorship.
